We recently contacted our local MP Danny Alexander to talk about fibre broadband for Highland businesses
We wrote to Danny Alexander – the MP for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey – to ask him if he was aware of many businesses in Inverness and the Highlands who were unable to get superfast fibre broadband… and if there was anything he could do to help.
Despite the fact that all of our staff who live in Inverness having superfast broadband installed in their homes, our sfG office – located in a large business park in Inverness – cannot access this service. This situation is mirrored in many other businesses, not just in Inverness but in many other superfast broadband enabled towns in the Highlands. There appears to be a push to supply fibre broadband to as many homes as possible while the businesses who would arguably benefit the most are left waiting!
Danny popped into the sfG office in the Green House at Beechwood Business Park in Inverness yesterday to chat to David Garvie, our Managing Director. Danny got the chance to see the work we do and just how much benefit superfast broadband would be to companies like us and to our customers.
Hopefully Danny can twist a few arms at BT and more business premises in Inverness reap the benefits of a fast internet connection sometime soon.
